Until 1993 Jerez airport was known as La Parra Airport or Jerez-La Parra Airport due to its location on the military air base of La Parra.
Today, ten airlines operate flights from the airport to Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, León, Gran Canarias, Palma de Mallorca and Tenerife as well as to Germany, England and Luxembourg.
