Valencia Airport Information
Valencia's International Airport (airport code VLC), also known as Manises Airport, was opened in 1933 and is one of the busiest airports in Spain. Passenger numbers are growing (with 4.5 million travellers using the airport in 2005, increasing to 5.8 million in 2008), and are currently served by two airport terminals.
Valencia Airport is 8 kilometres (5 miles) to the west of the city on the Carretera del Aeropuerto, and is easily accessed by car. It is well served by a variety of public transport options including buses, minibuses, taxis and the Valencia metro, linking it with the surrounding urban area.
