Catalan travelers now have access to the "midnight sun" region via Barcelona airport El Prat.
The Irish airline Ryanair has announced the opening of a new service from Barcelona to Skelleftea, in Swedish Lapland, via Girona Italy. The service will run until 24 October
The low cost company will thus create a new link to northern Europe, with no competition, from Barcelona's El Prat Airport. Every Monday and Friday morning, the Irish plane will take off from Barcelona at 7.05 am, arriving at Gerona around 11 am and taking off again at 11:25 am, landing four hours later at the small airport in Skelleftea. 800 km from the capital , Stockholm, Skelleftea is situated in Swedish Lapland, on the reaches of the Arctic Circle and the shores of the Baltic Sea.
Until next winter, leaving Barcelona EL Prat Airport behind, passengers feeling the heat can take advantage of the midnight sun and recharge their batteries in the far north of Sweden: Skelleftea is known for its one hundred consecutive days when the sun does not set. (Source: air-journal.fr)
